Parent and Carers charter

At Grovedale Little Athletics, we believe in fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for all athletes and their families. As a parent or guardian, your involvement is vital to the success of our club and the development of our young athletes. By participating in our community, you agree to uphold the following principles:

Responsibilities

Supervision: Ensure your child is supervised at all times during events and training sessions. If you are unable to attend, designate a responsible adult to care for your child.

Participation: Actively contribute to the smooth running of events by volunteering for duties such as officiating, recording results, or assisting with equipment setup and pack-up.

Safety: Prioritise the safety and well-being of all athletes by adhering to club guidelines and ensuring your child follows instructions from officials and volunteers.

Behaviour

Respect: Treat all athletes, parents, officials, and volunteers with respect and courtesy. Encourage good sportsmanship and positive interactions.

Encouragement: Focus on your child’s efforts and personal achievements rather than solely on results. Celebrate progress and participation.

Language: Use appropriate language at all times. Avoid swearing or negative comments that could impact the enjoyment of others.

Commitment

Volunteering: Understand that Grovedale Little Athletics is a volunteer-run organisation. Your active involvement is essential to the success of our programs.

Community Spirit: Support not only your child but also other athletes and families, fostering a sense of community and teamwork.

Compliance: Adhere to all club policies, including providing a valid Working with Children Check if required for your role.

By embracing these values, we can create a welcoming and enriching environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive and enjoy the sport of athletics.Type your paragraph here.
